Ross Pow leads the team at Power of Numbers
I talk and teach internationally on how to harness the power of information to shape decision-making and performance.
Having either run or advised data-led businesses in areas such as telecoms, publishing and finance, I’ve been able to experience at first hand what works and what doesn’t when it comes to getting your ideas across to influence the actions of other people.
At Power of Numbers, we’re interested in what it takes to get people to act on information – not just in terms of responding to logical, rational arguments but also how we are all affected by the psychology of human thinking and behaviour.
We work with a wide range of clients in commerce, technology, education and research. Over the last couple of years, we’ve developed a specialism in helping NHS organisations maximise the impact of the information they have. We’ve helped individual NHS Trusts and CCGs develop overarching information strategies, streamline Board level reporting and find ways to create higher quality business cases. We’ve also helped finance teams with their wider development using a variety of training and facilitation approaches.
At national level, we’ve supported the leadership of the Future-Focused Finance initiative, which sets out a vision for NHS finance over the next five years and includes a range of Action Areas that are generating specific tools and techniques for NHS finance to use in helping deliver best possible value for patients.
